Lewis Center is an unincorporated community in the northwestern area of Orange Township, Delaware County, Ohio, United States, located between Columbus and Delaware. The community was named after the family of William L. Lewis, donors of land for the railroad station. Lewis Center encompasses the ZIP code is 43035. The area lies on the east side of the Olentangy River, across from the city of Powell, and west of Alum Creek State Park.
Orange Township is located within Lewis Center, and is a very rapidly growing community whose current population is approximately 22,000 and was one of Ohio’s fastest-growing jurisdictions throughout the 1990′s and early 2000’s. Lewis Center seems that it is well poised to continue being one of the fastest growing communities in Ohio with all of the new developments occurring in Orange Township. The local economy is fueled by the nearby headquarters of JP Morgan Chase and various other businesses in the Polaris area.

Home values have remained fairly steady in the area, despite experiencing some foreclosures when the market down turned around 2008.

The Polaris Fashion Place, located on Polaris Parkway, is one of the most popular shopping areas in Columbus and Ohio. Anchored by such icons as Macy’s, Von Maur, Sax Fifth Avenue, JC Penny, and Sears. Across the street, the Polaris Towne Center provides more shopping opportunities. Many flavorful restaurants surround the shopping, making the area an all day destination. With easy access to I-71 and I-270, one can drive downtown, to Port Columbus International Airport, or the east and west side in a matter of minutes. Recently a Costco and a Cabelas have joined the Polaris shopping community.
Education
The Olentangy local school district services the entire Lewis Center area. The US News & World Report ranked all three Olentang’s high schools among the best nationwide and within the top 10 best high schools statewide.
